Originally from North Texas, outside of Gainesville, Dr. Julie Norwood brings a compassionate, patient-centered approach to dentistry. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish with a minor in Biology from Baylor University before completing her dental education at Texas A&M College of Dentistry in Dallas. During dental school, Dr. Norwood was recognized as a member of both the Baylor Odontological Honor Society and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society.
Dr. Norwood knew from a young age that she wanted to pursue a career in healthcare. Her interest in dentistry began during visits to the orthodontist, where she saw how much the team enjoyed their work and how positively they connected with patients. She was drawn to the unique combination of science, hands-on care, and the opportunity to help people improve both their oral health and their confidence.
Dr. Norwood loves practicing dentistry because it allows her to make a meaningful difference in her patients’ overall well-being. Whether she is helping someone regain confidence in their smile, relieving discomfort, or supporting long-term oral health, she finds it especially rewarding to build lasting relationships with patients and their families while helping them feel comfortable and cared for.
Outside the office, Dr. Norwood is often found driving her two daughters to dance rehearsal. She also enjoys baking, cooking, and taking on any kind of craft project.
